Scarf - Corona knitting

Knitting project - long scarf -

The wool: Mille Colori Baby - by Lang Yarns
and it is really soft and warm - good for babies and grandmas

This wool makes the change of colors by itself

The zig-zag ist made like this: Cast on a number of stitches
which can be divided by 12 - plus two stitches. I had 96 stitches
plus 2 stitches on my needles.
First row: Start with 1 stitch -
knit 5 stitches - knit 2 stitches together - knit 4 stitches -
two stitches out of the next stitch - continue till the end -
finish with 1 stitch.
Second row: knit all stitches,
All other rows: Repeat 1. and 2. rows

Go on knitting, till you reach about 1,80 m.
Don‘t give in before!
But take care not to make mistakes in counting.

For your help use stitch markers every 12 stitches -

Go on knitting while you are waiting after your Corona
vaccination

Knit about 3 months - or less if you are a fast kitter.
I used a bit more than 250 g of the Mille Colori Baby Yarn

And I liked the idea to make fringes as a finish.

This is my left-over Yarn - I love left-overs - to touch it
and enjoy the feel.

The scarf

It is finished the scarf which I began first with another pattern
but saw that I won‘t be able to finish it to be recognized
as a scarf

and now this is Frau Mayer wearing it - a model once
published in the magazine Brigitte, long long ago
when DH still made such things - today his objects are
larger, house renovation etc.

the sarf is for me

an intricate pattern - I was not able to form a scarf with

unravelling

washing and drying

and looking for another pattern
(see at the bottom of the page)

no fast knitting but I had the time during holidays
and summer heat when quiet sitting was the best

Photo below:

It is the same wool under electric light - I knitted a cord
to make the neck a bit more attractive -

knitting with two needles and 5 stitches - no turning
just pushing the knitted stitches to the beginnning and
go again from right to left

the excess length ended in a knitted ball - I could make a snake‘s
head of it -

Scarf not finished

This intricate feather pattern -
well it is looking a bit funny - like a collar around the neck
So I will add a knitted little sausage - fixed by sewing or
crocheted - no decision yet made -
cold days are still far

Crochet pattern - ananas? - for a better image I will have to
block it.

Seefest in Berneck im Schwarzwald - Festivity in Berneck, Blackforest

The festivity started, with a 1000 colourful lights on the lake

People gathering alongside the lake - at the booths for snacks and beer

We are sitting on the opposite side watching the happening
from above and waiting for the fireworks

Looks like house on fire - it was a fantastic spectacle

and lasted 15 minutes

Illuminated row of old houses - Schlosssteige

————-
I tried to transform a pattern by Svetlana Gordon and make a scarf -
I liked the knitted feathers but I could not transform it into a long scarf
so I unravelled it

washed it without detergent ...

and started a new pattern

which also meant much counting

but by now I know it by heart

I miss granddaughter - probably still sleeping -
We are watching how son will pack the car getting ready for departure

After a good while everything was in

Same stitches - better light

There might be no difference in the stitches - but I think there are .... those silly little knots just want to stand in their own way. If you came to my blog before you will notice that I prefer irregularities ... Here I have them
Anyway the exposure is different -

I did as Deanna of - http://eclectic-meanderings.blogspot.de - told me. A LED light to expose the object.

If you go to her blog you will see beautiful and interesting embroidery and stitching.

What I like is - you won't believe it - MENDING

Can you see the hole in my blue scarf - eaten by moths because I did not wear it for a long time which means about 3 years or so. The colour is ok - it really is blue - like this.

Moths are awful - they like wool - I do, too.

The curvy embroidery is on a bag owned by König Ludwig II (1845 - 1886, you know Neuschwanstein, he had it constructed but never lived in there).

Here it is a newspaper snip in my studio journal.

so I use the hole as a center for this buttonhole wheel

it even morphed into a buttonhole cup - it is 2 cm wide

Also French knots wanted to be there

And this is the backside of the same hole

Another version - some flowers are now on my scarf

I will wear it on the bike.
