The festivity started, with a 1000 colourful lights on the lake

People gathering alongside the lake - at the booths for snacks and beer

We are sitting on the opposite side watching the happening
from above and waiting for the fireworks

Looks like house on fire - it was a fantastic spectacle

and lasted 15 minutes

Illuminated row of old houses - Schlosssteige

I tried to transform a pattern by Svetlana Gordon and make a scarf -
I liked the knitted feathers but I could not transform it into a long scarf
so I unravelled it

washed it without detergent ...

and started a new pattern

which also meant much counting

but by now I know it by heart

I miss granddaughter - probably still sleeping -
We are watching how son will pack the car getting ready for departure

Making a collage from scraps

I am not very happy with it - so I am showing now just part of it
I am adding bit and again cutting off scraps which I don't like
anymore.
But more in another post.

Originally it was a little stitched picture which I made in Sharon Boggons class
"Studio Journal" several years ago. I like to use things again and change them.

.

The flamingo fabric was too strong in colour
so it was cut into pieces - and like that the flamingo enjoys
the water, the lake and the pond

It is this motiv of Vincent Van Gogh which I used also for another embroidery
(below). I liked the swirls of the wind and suns - or are they stars
and possibly a moon in the dark sky?

I used many stitches from Sharon's "Take a Stitch Tuesday" - which is still running
