October can be golden

Through the park of the castle

round the corner they lost their leaves alrleady

I am doing some handsewing -

inspired by my patchwork friends last Friday

I printed the templates myself on thicker paper -

not copy paper but 160g/qm - it is a light cardboard

I have a link on the right sidebar. You can choose whatever

size or shape you want - and print it at home for free.

I think it is very generous of "Kunst und Markt" to place

this at patchers' disposal. It can even be translated if you wish.

Multiple reflections - 5 handsewn birds reflected by

the window and the mirror.

so long...

Rag pickers - or recycling

We, the rag pickers......
Making a walk in our village last night, it was Sunday -
we saw some things which people put in front of their houses
for the ragmen to collect - bulky waste. We have the opportunity to do this
four times a year for free.
And so we jumped at the little white dresser and the picture frame,
well also the picture is not bad at all, it is an aquarell reproduction
showing Würzburg, a beautiful town in Germany.
Above is a real photo - which I took from internet -
it IS looking like that.

We will use just the frame.

And then the mirror, again a mirror, in perfect condition as everything
which we brought home. Recycling!! It did not cost a single Cent.
We are furnishing an old house in France - the house which DH is renovating.
Now we need some paint....

Empty your attic - vide-grenier

On Sundays French folks bring out their old things,
treasures more or less, to the streets.
As far as I know only once a year in a village.
Walking up the hill in
GOUHENANS - our neighbor village

Now if you want to know how to pronounce the name I will describe it here:
goono - ("oo" like in good, the 3rd "o" like in awe)
GOONO - GOUHENANS
and they need 9 letters for this
This is a pretty house
still walking uphill
Our purchase - a mirror - the lady in the red trousers told us:
It is old - Ok, that is why we wanted to have it for our toilet
inspite of worm-holes - it will be treated.
We paid 6€ for it (about 7,50US$)
The boss of renovation is holding the mirror, my knees can be seen
Walking downhill past this nice wall.
We are browsing the web pages of the region to find out about flea market -
a nice and interesting Sunday entertainment (it takes us two hours not longer) - we get to know the region and find sometimes something to equip the old house which DH is renovating.
