Friendship bracelets

I had to try this technique of knotting friendship bracelets.

When it was modern I missed it, I did not know about it.

Probably I was preoccupied with household, children, job,

sports and social life.

It is a bit like weaving - certainly much slower.

Now - I did not make these - except the fourth from the left.

You can recognize it at the bottom of this photo.

I laid my bracelet on top of the title of a book from which I

took the instructions.

We are in the Vosges, a mountain range in the east of France,
800 m high. Weather is fine and summery.
This is an entry to our property.

Picture taken against the sun. A serious cut will be

needed. But DH had an accident with his thumb which

will keep him from such work for a while.

We still can enter, though.
A corner of the farmhouse

I can't show you any creative work - I am sure you don't want to see

heaps of pulled-out weeds, spider webs in my broom, mousetraps without

mice but eaten bacon -

It is my life inside and outside the farmhouse. I enjoy it!

WWW in an old cowshed

Here www means WINDOW WIDE WEB - I simply must show

also this window in the cow house of an old farmhouse in France

Cows have gone long ago -

Those found a way out of their pasture and enjoyed a lovely day in liberty.

In this French village are living 3000 cows and 350 inhabitants.

And it is me on the bike.

Stitching

While I was occupied with the new Tast stitch -
the up and down buttonhole stitch -
discovering a new cactus with twin prickles

with the name TASTONIA geminispina
because of its twin prickles ...

a cactus flower appeared in the cactus garden
and.....

she or he was weaving.

This picture was taken in the morning
when we left the house
for a few days.
See the cat entrance in the grange door.

Spider Webs

My Patchwork friends in Germany started to make spider webs - I got contaminated and made just one element. I could not attend our meeting being in our summer house in April where the weather is like in winter. Well, e-mail contact is so good that it is nearly like being there at the table with them, the only exception: the champagne and the lunch and the always terribly good cake.

This very fine spider web - you have to look and search twice - was taken out of the backdoor some time ago in the French Vosges

These curtain spider webs will soon be wiped away because DH is keen to renovate this old house. Of course, the wiping will be my domain.
There will probably be many more lovely weavings to take pictures of.

The stitched spider webs were my contribution to the Tast 2012 - however I did not show them up to now - they seemed to be much too modest. In this context I am no more ashamed of them.
The background is one of my prints with Formy pressed on a heat-crumbled piece of Tyvek.
