More buttonhole stitches, Tast2012

A combination of buttonhole stitches. The large circle is so called cutwork - which I learned
at Karen Ruanes button class. A small piece of another fabric is being fixed from underneeth with buttonhole stitches. I made a double row so unluckily enough it can not be seen very well.

The Paisley design: I filled it with lacy buttonhole stitches in different colours

Again lace to the inside and beads in the middle
The lace business is keeping me occupied - I love it

Buttons going on

This is now a really big one - I found this lace in my basement
Of course, I knew that there is a box full of treasures - but when
I stored it I had no use for it at that time.
I simply had to use it for this kind of enormous brooch.
Who knows, maybe I will wear it sometime in summer.
The middle is painted cotton which I made a few weeks ago.
I cut out piece and sacrificed it for the purpose.

Another one a bit more modest.
There is printed silk in the middle.

Buttons

I registered for Karen Ruanes "Buttons and more" class.
And that is what I made up to now.
Now I know that I should not, never, baste with colored thread.
The band in the middle is needle woven with added buttonhole lace.
A few French knots and spider web and to fill the space - some
seed stitches.

Again needle weaving with a triangle
of buttonhole lace. Everything very small -
my button will be 2,9 cm large.

A large spider web in two colors on
a piece of old, used linen.

Another spider web - I started in the wrong way
but the effect is not so bad.
My first experiment.
It looks somehow colorless - the whole thing is ecru.
