Diamond stitch (with a trick) - Breton stitch and my WOYWW 201

The new stitch of SharonB's challenge - Tast2013 - stitch 60
diamond stitch

I am starting a new design

This is the diamond stitch with variegated thread

and here the stitches on my well-known purse
But then I did not like the gap under the stitches...

So I fastened them with tiny running stitches.
If you still see a gap, this is the fabric which is darker under the stitches.

  1. So pretty!!! I don't think I've ever seen or done that stitch before. The variegated thread is just gorgeous looking. I used to do all kinds of crewel and needlework but haven't in years. You are making me miss it now, lol!

    Happy Crafting!

  6. You have been able to control the tension in your Diamond stitches and the new project looks great in that variegated thread.

    1. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
My daughter's name is spelled Anneliese (my husband if from Germany) and I am the one that is Anna Leisa because my dad heard the name when he was in Germany before I was born, but didn't know how to spell it.
