It is easy to make and a fantastic fingerfood
Take ready-made puff-pastry - if it is round divide it like a tart into 12 pieces -
if it has a rectangle shape make smaller rectangles out of it, also 12 pieces.
And now mix together:
200 g cheese like Emmentaler or Gouda, cut into small cubes, less than 1 cm
200 g breakfast bacon, also small cubes
a small chopped onion
1-2 spoonful of creme fraiche or sour cream
parsley, very little salt, pepper
Now this might be too much filling -
if something is left over - use it up in a different way.
I "brush" it before baking with egg yolk.
Put it into a hot oven 200°C-210°C for 15 minutes. 390°F-410°F
Serve it still warm - or warm it up and your guests will be delighted.
Can you see the cheese which ran out - it is the best - and I break it off
and mumble it still in the kitchen when nobody is looking.
Yummy! These sound delicious Anneliese! Can I come to your house for a cup of tea and a b and c roll please?
