| A combination of buttonhole stitches. The large circle is so called cutwork - which I learned at Karen Ruanes button class. A small piece of another fabric is being fixed from underneeth with buttonhole stitches. I made a double row so unluckily enough it can not be seen very well. |

ReplyDeleteYour buttonhole samples are really good Anneliese, so varied, and interesting. I especially like the paisley design. It is such a useful stitch, and so often used that perhaps we all take it for granted. It is good to re-visit such a stitch, and think about it in more depth.

I love all the different ways you have managed to find for the buttonhole stitch, Anneliese. Very creative. The lacy effect is worth the effort, it looks really good and the paisley is my favourite part of it. Di.
